ABOUT US

This project was founded by Quinn Gasparo (Ryshkus) in 2009. At the time, she was working at a shelter for women and children in her hometown of Kenosha, WI.
Donations were plentiful during Christmas, but were sparse during Spring. That year, with the help of her family, she put together Easter baskets for the children staying
at the shelter.
Since 2009, the project has grown from meeting the needs of just one shelter,
to meeting the needs of numerous shelters and outreach organizations in
Kenosha and Racine counties.
Baskets of Joy has seen tremendous growth since its inception. In 2016 55 Easter
baskets were given to area kids in need.
That number increased to 1,209 baskets in 2019!
ELCA Outreach Center graciously serves as the fiscal sponsor for the Baskets of Joy Project, allowing tax deductible donations.
The project is now run by Quinn with the help of a wonderful group of volunteers (aka Superheroes) including her husband Tom.
The project will continue to grow to meet the needs of all children in Kenosha and Racine Counties!
